After a lifetime in banking in California, I switched climates and careers – I’ve been enjoying real estate for eight years now. People always ask me why did you move to chilly Wisconsin from sunny California? The answer is family. And while I’m still not a huge fan of the weather, I really love it here. Especially in Lake Country. All the beautiful lakes and rivers help make up for the ocean, and I love the abundant wildlife. As an avid sports fan it doesn’t hurt to have the Packers, Bucks, Brewers and DockHounds to root for also. And the people here are so nice! So many big egos in California. Here people go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. In my first year here I slid into a deep ditch in a snow storm and was unable to get out, but a stranger came along and pulled me out! Now I look for opportunities to pay things forward.
