We own Bloom Physical Therapy & Wellness, and are the only physical therapy practice specializing solely in pelvic health in Lake Country. We also are able to provide care in the comfort of your home, as well as virtual visits.
As physical therapists, doulas, and mothers, we are passionate about providing empowering one-on-one pelvic floor physical therapy. We are pelvic floor specialists that solely address women’s health conditions throughout the lifespan, including pre-conception, pregnancy and postpartum care.
About Amanda Uting & Mary Garces
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
Mary has been married for almost 5 years and is the mother to her 2 year old son, fur baby, and soon to be little girl due in March 2026. Amanda and her husband have an 8-year-old girl, a 6-year-old boy and 4-year-old boy.
Q: Please tell us about your life and what you do (whether working in our community, a business owner, volunteer, etc.). How did you choose that path?
Mary is a former division I athlete, certified birth doula, yoga instructor, and mother who finds that pelvic floor physical therapy is the perfect combination of the different hats that she wears. Amanda also holds a pregnancy and postpartum corrective specialist certification. Additionally, Amanda is a certified birth doula and integrates her knowledge to help clients prepare for labor and delivery. When she is not seeing clients, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, running, hiking, volunteering, and reading.
Q: What do you love most about what you do?
We love helping women not only meet their goals, but exceeding what they thought was even possible. For example, one patient never thought it would be possible to insert a tampon, now she is able to be intimate, perform hygiene, and have annual medical exams performed comfortably.
Q: What was the most difficult challenge in getting to where you are now or in your life?
As physical therapists, we had 3 years of graduate school, but none of it covered how to start or run a business! We were lucky enough to find a fantastic business coach that helped us with this. We are constantly juggling business and family life.
Q: What is the most rewarding part?
The most rewarding part of our job is seeing women achieve the birth they want and live the life that they want to live.
Q: What are some of your future goals? Do you have anything exciting coming up that you would like to share?
We would love to be part of a larger collective space with like-minded practitioners, so our clients could get holistic, well-rounded care in our location. Our next upcoming event is an open house on Tuesday, October 28, that showcases all the women-owned businesses in our building.
Q: What advice would you give to someone interested in doing something similar to what you have done/are doing?
Solidifying your values and sticking by them will help you build the business you want and find your clientele. Business coaching helped build a solid practice from the ground up. It’s not as hard or expensive as you would think-just do it!
