Andrea Weisman

Meet “Mrs. Lake Country” Andrea Weisman

Born in Milwaukee, Andrea’s father is a first generation immigrant from the Philippines. She is the oldest daughter, and has an older brother, younger sister and younger brother. In the early 1990’s, her family moved to Oak Creek where she graduated from Oak Creek High School in 1999.

Andrea spent 14 years working as a licensed manicurist in one of Milwaukee’s premier salons and spas. In 2012, her son Tanner was born – and he is the love of her life. Three years later, in 2015, she survived a near fatal car accident in Pewaukee which changed the trajectory of her life. In 2016 she met the other love of her life, Andy, and they married in 2019. She got her real estate license in 2017 and has been in the business since then. Her mortgage license followed in 2018, and she still holds it. Andrea is a wife, mom, friend, community supporter, Realtor, mortgage originator, and now the current Mrs. Lake Country for the Mrs. Wisconsin America pageant.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

My husband’s name is Andy, and my son Tanner is 10 years old. We have a one-eyed Minpin Chihuahua named Betty and 2 cats named Bull and Bear – yes, like the stock market.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I served the salon and spa industry for 14 years and it was some of the best times of my life. Being able to establish and nurture relationships is something that fulfills me. It was great being able to be a part of my clients lives and some of their BIGGEST moments. I thrive on relationships and forming bonds with others. Currently, I am a Realtor with Rainy Day Real Estate – brokered by eXp Realty, serving all of Lake Country and Southeastern WI, and have been in the business since 2017. I absolutely LOVE what I do and wouldn’t change it for the world! Being trusted to assist in the biggest decisions of peoples’ lives is an honor. I love meeting new people and pride myself on making my clients feel like friends and family.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?

Palmer’s Steakhouse– MY ABSOLUTE FAV, Artisan 179, Delafield Brewhaus -where we got married , Lucky Chucky’s, The Kiltie

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?

Since 2015.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

My favorite movie is Dirty Dancing and my favorite TV show is Dateline.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Authenticity is key. If you live your truth in all aspects of your life, you can never be doubted. AND we all have a story to tell, share it, because you never know if it could be someone else’s survival guide.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?

Diane Hendricks – I would love to learn more about her story, how she overcame the things that she was faced with, pick her brain about what keeps her going and what other plans she has for the communities. I admire strong women in business and Diane takes the cake on that one! We would probably swing by Belfre and see what is on the seasonal menu!

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?

Despite it being a small community, there is still so much to do! We have amazing downtowns and lake areas, cute shops, amazing restaurants, and our community is friendly! I love attending all of the local events and supporting any of the local businesses that I can!

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

That’s a great question! I see my real estate business thriving and having a small group of people continuing to serve our clients. I will still be living in Lake Country – my heart is here. Who knows where the pageant world may take me! I plan to continue supporting other women in pageants and encourage them to feel empowered!

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?

Worms terrify me! So much so that it paralyzes me. I will do anything to avoid having to walk outside when it rains, and if I do I have to run on my tiptoes and hold my breath. I know.. it’s kind of strange. Rainy weather is the worst time for me.

Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?

The steaks at Palmer’s. I have tried some of the BEST steakhouses in different states and few have come close to what Palmer’s has to offer!

Q: Who inspires you to be better?

My son Tanner IS and will ALWAYS be my WHY. He makes me want to be the best mom and woman that I can possibly be. I want him to know that if you work hard enough anything is possible. My husband, Andy, is one of my biggest cheerleaders. He pushes me to be the best version of myself and challenges me to strive for more. I am truly blessed to have these two men in my life.

Q: Finally, what 3 words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?

Peaceful, Bursting with love, Inviting.
