Kristine Wright

Kristine Wright is an artist, and wanted to create an outlet for local artisans to have a year round storefront to showcase their wide variety of handmade and upcycled items. Roost Mercantile was established in 2015 with a longing to create a one-of-a-kind shopping experience.

About Kristine Wright

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I have three kids, and two golden retrievers.

Q: Please tell us about your life and what you do (whether working in our community, a business owner, volunteer, etc.). How did you choose that path?

I love working with local businesses and builders and making connections with customers. I partake in the parade of homes, love decorating customers homes and helping find that perfect piece my clients are looking for.

Q: What do you love most about what you do?

I get to go to work and smile because if you love what you do it doesn’t feel like work.

Q: What was the most difficult challenge in getting to where you are now or in your life?

Being a small business, it’s all word of mouth and social media. I always try to accommodate customers and strive to make guests experiences one they won’t forget.

Q: What is the most rewarding part?

Seeing the smiles when customers find exactly that one of a kind item.

Q: What are some of your future goals? Do you have anything exciting coming up that you would like to share?

I see so much potential in the destination of the property it would be fun to expand and invite more talented artists to showcase their talents.

Q: What advice would you give to someone interested in doing something similar to what you have done/are doing?

Have patience, determination, vision and hard work ethic.
