Llazar Konda

Llazar Konda came to the United States in 2009 from Athens, Greece. He has a great deal of experience working in and owning several restaurants in Europe, as well as two restaurants in downtown Waukesha, Meli and The Crepe Cafe. His Mediterranean roots are weaved throughout the small plates he and his culinary team create at the restaurant. Llazar’s mother is also a big part of Beach House Bistro, from her delicious Spanakopita and other Greek delicacies, to keeping everything neat and tidy for the staff and guests. Llazar is very passionate about his family, as well as his staff and clientele. We are so grateful to have Llazar and Beach House Bistro on Pewaukee Lake.

About Llazar Konda

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

I have 2 children, a boy and girl. Also, my mother & father who came here from Athens, Greece.

Q: Please tell us about your life and what you do (whether working in our community, a business owner, volunteer, etc.). How did you choose that path?

I’ve been working in the restaurant business for over 20 years. I owned a few restaurants in Europe and decided to move to the US to learn about the culture and share my Mediterranean roots so that someday I could own my own restaurant in the states.

Q: What do you love most about what you do?

First, it’s the people and relationships with the clientele. Seeing them enjoying time together and having a happy experience. Food comes second.

Q: What was the most difficult challenge in getting to where you are now or in your life?

It was building our team and sharing my vision. Then training them to see the vision.

Q: What is the most rewarding part?

Seeing happy people enjoying our food and sharing their experiences with their friends and family.

Q: What are some of your future goals? Do you have anything exciting coming up that you would like to share?
